Times they are a changin'

I suppose it's time to state the obvious...I've been busy. Don't we all say that? Well my busy isn't any different than anyone else's busy I imagine.  My busy was just that for a time I was having a child every 2 ish years. And with three little people about, well, this space just didn't get prioritized. But, I think it's time to change that!

So let's get started. I see this as a place where we can get real.  The messy, frustrating, fabulous part of being human.  You see, none of us is perfect, none of us has it "all" together, and most importantly none of us is one thing.

In this age of digital living, I see guru's, experts, opionists (is that even a word?) on nearly everything.  In fact there hasn't been anything I've looked for online that I haven't found in some capacity.  We are in a world where information is not just available and easily at our fingertips, but  is nearly shoved down our throats!  What to think and how to think it could easily be decided for us.

But don't you find that sometimes the best guidance, advice, reviews, come from the people you know and love?  I do. I may search online for bread recipes but if my cousin swears by a recipe she loves that is easy (my version, not hers;) then I am more likely to rely on her experience than the food network.

If I am looking for a baby monitor, I can search online, find the one I think looks good but I'm also going to reach out to my mom friends to see what they are using and why they love and/or hate it. If what they have is working and fits my needs, I'm probably going to go with that one.

But sometimes I fall for the marketing. I need to have "this" diaper-bag or my life will be disorganized chaos. That happens too. But I will let you know if it changed my life. (SPOILER ALERT - - It didn't).

So each week, I am going to challenge myself to write.  Write about something that I may need help with, something I'm pondering, something that is working for me, something that I thought I knew all about until...I didn't.  Maybe even a new love I might have. Whatever it might be, because you see, I am a mom, a wife, a homeschooler, a gardener, a make-up lover, a bullet journal enthusiast, a card maker, craft dabbler, a self diagnosed worrier, I'm a lot of things and so are you.

  1. Writing was always something you always did well. I remember a box full of notes you gave me when I had to leave Auburn to move to Castle Rock and it really helped me adjust to a new life away from my friends knowing that someone cared about me no matter where I was going to be living. Congrats on the blog.
